Marjorie Mendez

Fundraising Chair

Marjorie Mendez is Cuban-Jamaican and migrated from St. Andrews, Jamaica, to the USA in the early 70s to Nassau County, NY. Marjorie played an integral role during the planning stages of WOI and since the launch of the Organization in 2011. Marjorie has been an active member and team player and is always dependable and very committed.

Marjorie brings a wealth of talent and creativity, which includes making all those beautiful baskets for our raffles. She is a Mixologist Extraordinaire and Connoisseur of Drinks. She enthusiastically attends every event and selflessly gives of her time. She is there for the Prom Drives, Health Fairs, Seminars, and is an avid fundraiser and recruiter. Marjorie is very passionate about the mission of the Organization. She is a Vivacious, Energetic, and Beautiful Individual. When Marjorie is not with the Women of Integrity Organization, her full-time job is an Asst. Vice President for a Multi-Million Dollar Mortgage Bank. Marjorie has over 20 years in the financial services industry, including 15 years in residential mortgage lending, extensive lending knowledge in Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, 203k, Sub-Prime Mortgage Laws, Title, Appraisal RESPA and predatory lending.

There are many layers to Marjorie. Her dedication to her family is proven when she sold her home and moved in with her ailing mother to care for her. The nursing home was not an option.

Marjorie’s many attributes, as well as her incredible contributions to Women of Integrity and her community since its inception, has brought her success, joy, and fulfillment. She enjoys being of service, giving back, and being a part of something bigger than her.
